At Wartburg Guesthouse we will offer our guests the pleasure of having their needs met. We want our guests’ experience to be as positive as possible and allow them to depart with a feeling of contentedness. We welcome all kinds of travellers—whether you’re here for business, family time, or a weekend getaway.
In the main house we have 4 double rooms and 2 twin rooms, with a separate self-catering cottage at the back of the premises.
Main House
Ideal for solo guests, couples, or colleagues, our double and twin rooms are comfortable, well-equipped, and perfect for short or extended visits.
Self-catering cottage
A private, homely space for families or longer stays, with its own kitchen, lounge, and outdoor braai area for a more flexible, relaxed experience.

Housekeeping & Laundry
Our housekeeping service is performed on a daily basis in order for our guests to enter into a clean and presentable room after a day out. We offer laundry services as an additional service to ensure our guests can feel fresh and presentable, no matter how long their stay will be. This service is charged as an extra and does not form part of the room rate.
Communal breakfast and dining room
Our dining area is centrally located on the premises and forms the heart of our establishment, with a small reception area where our guests are received. Enjoy a delicious breakfast prepared by the hostess and her staff, and make use of this self-help area in the evenings where guests can enjoy their dinner of choice comfortably.
Swimming pool area
Our swimming pool is located in close proximity to all the rooms and dining area, and paints a pretty picture when enjoying your morning coffee next to the pool. Unwind completely while reading a book and take a cool dip to get rid of the days’ stress – it will leave you feeling rejuvenated and newly recharged.
Extra Touches
Each room is equipped with thoughtful additions: Wi-Fi, secure parking, tea/coffee stations, in-room snack bars, and access to braai facilities. Our goal is to make your stay feel effortless, with all the comforts you’d expect and a few pleasant surprises. These little details help create a space that’s warm, functional, and easy to settle into.
The Main House
Our main house offers six thoughtfully prepared rooms, perfect for a range of stays—whether you’re visiting Wartburg for business, a family gathering, or a quiet weekend escape. Choose between four queen-sized double rooms or two twin rooms with single beds, each one designed to provide comfort, convenience, and a sense of home.
Each double and twin room consists of the following:
- A Smart TV with access to Netflix, DStv Stream, Showmax, Disney+, and more—guests can simply log in with their own personal accounts.
- A tea and coffee station with a kettle, tea, coffee, sugar and a fridge with cold water & milk.
- A vanity desk that can double as a small work desk that makes it ideal for the business traveler.
- An en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet & hand basin.
- A clothing wardrobe
Twin Rooms:
Equipped with 2 single beds and sleeps a maximum of 2 guests.
Double Rooms:
Equipped with a Queen-sized bed and sleeps a maximum of 2 guests.
Special Notes:
Room 1 is wheelchair accessible and equipped for guests with physical disabilities. Rooms 2 and 3 can be converted into a family suite by unlocking the interleading door between them. Room 2 features a queen-sized bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet, and hand basin, while Room 3 offers two single beds and an en-suite bathroom with a bath-shower combo.
Self-catering Cottage
The self-catering cottage consists of the following:
- A small kitchen-area equipped with all the basics: 2-plate mini oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans, cooking utensils, serving dishes and braai utensils. Tea, coffee and sugar is provided, and a small fridge will be stocked with cold water & milk.
- A lounge-area with a double sleeper-couch appropriate for children, a small dining table, a Smart TV with access to Netflix, Dstv Stream, Showmax, Disney Plus, and more—guests can simply log in with their own personal accounts.
- An en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet & hand basin.
- An outside braai area with a small braai stand.
